This series of sculptural works repurposes lucky cat figurines — symbols of prosperity — by combining them with glow sticks that radiate outward like stylised blood. Drawing from anime violence, Tarantino-esque spectacle, and cartoon injury tropes, the work explores the artist's ongoing interest in mortality salience. The glow sticks, synthetic and short-lived, serve as modern memento mori symbols, signalling the impermanence of worldly wealth.
